Leonard Center Greensboro Review

The change to summer baseball for 13U has brought us to some new destinations in 2018.  Recently, we visited the Leonard Center complex in Greensboro, NC for several games. The baseball field at the Leonard Center is one part of the small complex, which also includes a gym and a playground. For this Perfect Game... Continue Reading →

Rock Athletic Park Review

This past weekend was our first visit to Rock Athletic Park in Roxboro, NC, for a 10U tournament.  The Rock Athletic Park (also known as Sportsplex) is the home of Person County Little League. Nearby food and retail includes a Wal-Mart Super Center, Jersey Mike's and Arby's. At Rock Athletic Park, there are 5 baseball... Continue Reading →

Middle Creek Park Review

Amenities: Concession stand... Continue Reading →

Our oldest son and his travel ball team spent the week playing and living at Cooperstown Dreams Park.  The park was started in... Continue Reading →

Butner Athletic Park Review

Last weekend, the first day of our tournament was held at Butner Athletic Park, one of the newer ball parks in the Durham/Oxford area. The complex offers baseball, softball and soccer fields - the 3 ball fields and 1 soccer field.  In the center of the complex, you will find a concession stand, a room... Continue Reading →

Granville Athletic Park Review

Many weekends of our travel ball schedule include at least one day at Granville Athletic Park. The Granville Athletic Park (GAP) is located on the Jonesland Environmental Preserve.  The Preserve land was originally planned to be used as a hazard waste incinerator , but after public concern was raised, an athletic park was built on... The Factory in Wake Forest Review

This weekend, our baseball destination is the Factory in Wake Forest. Our oldest son is playing in a Top Gun tournament at that ballpark. A former manufacturing plant that was transformed in 2003, the Factory is an "eat-shop-play" complex in Wake Forest that was purchased by another group in 2015.  This purchase is good news...
