This set of abbreviations is intended to capture what action happened to get the player on base during an at bat.

BB | Base on Balls (also known as Walk) |
E | Error |
FC | Fielder’s Choice |
HBP | Hit by Pitch |
WP | Wild Pitch |
HR | Home Run |
I | Interference |
IBB | Intentional Walk |
How Did the Player Get Called Out?
This set of abbreviations is used when a player gets called out during an at bat.

CS | Caught Stealing |
DP | Double Play |
F | Foul Fly (Fly Out) |
FO | Force Out |
G | Ground Out |
K | Strike Out Swinging |
Backwards K | Strike Out Looking |
L | Line Drive |
B | Bunt |
